Welcome! We are thrilled to invite you to join Congregation Rodef Sholom’s new REAL Deal Kehilla Group for women who are about to enter or have recently entered the empty nest stage of life. This interactive learning program is led by congregant Jennifer Golbus and her partner Jenn Overboe of MeetMe life coaching.

Many of us find this life transition to be challenging or emotional, even as we embrace more time, freedom and the opportunity to explore our next chapter.

In this 6-week group, we will share our experiences, learn tools and strategies, and support one another as we navigate this new phase in life’s journey.

Together, we’re going to learn how to shift from worry, fear and control to curiosity, confidence and joy. We will help you regain a healthy balance in your life while you continue to improve and strengthen your relationships with your kids, with less strain, more laughs and healthier connections.

REAL Deal Kehilla Group

Imagine what it will feel like when you:

  • Have the confidence to know that letting go doesn't mean that you stop parenting

  • Hear your kids say “Mom, you look happy. We are proud of you!”

  • Learn to navigate the push/pull dance between moms and kids becoming independent

  • Juggle your various roles of parent, spouse, work life and caring for aging parents with more self compassion

  • Parent with healthy balance (hint - this means taking care of your own needs in addition to your child's)

  • Find your new best self in this new stage of parenting

  • Discover a new passion for life’s joys

  • Share a connection to a community of others on the same journey!

When women support women in a group setting, it empowers them to connect and collaborate with each other. Add in some super effective tools that are easy to implement, and you’ve got yourself a recipe for success…. and a path to a happier, more empowered you who is expanding and embracing your identity as an empty nester.

We hope you will join us on a 6-week journey as we learn together how to be our best through this unfamiliar time. The group kicks off on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at 10:30am followed by these Sundays, also at 10:30am: January 28, February 11, February 25, March 3 and March 10. The location will be provided upon registration.

This program is offered at no cost to participants, thanks to the generosity of Congregation Rodef Sholom and the REAL Mental Health initiative. However we ask that you commit to all six sessions as there are a limited number of spots available.
